MLB Note - Kansas City Royals Perez, Salvador
Aug 24, 2017 - 8:03 AM C Salvador Perez, who came off the disabled list Tuesday after straining his right intercostal, will get Wednesday off because it is a day game after a night game. "We're kind of targeting certain dates to give him recovery days," manager Ned Yost said. "We think that's important. We're kind of monitoring." He said the Sunday afternoon game in Cleveland after two night games "would probably be a perfect spot" to give Perez another day off. Perez has been the Royals' designated hitter for 13 games, but those days are probably over.No one has shouted yet.
