He day was ended by a one-hour, 23-minute rain delay. Manager Bud Black said, "Good use of the fastball to both sides of the plate, good slider to both sides of the plate. He was in control of this game, for sure." Gray has allowed three or fewer runs in 11 consecutive starts, going 5-3 with a 2.58 ERA in that span.
