MLB Note - Washington Nationals Strasburg, Stephen
Sep 18, 2017 - 9:26 AM RHP Stephen Strasburg, who had not allowed a run in 35 2/3 innings, gave up a run in the second inning Sunday night against the Dodgers, and it was somewhat tainted. Yasiel Puig led off with a single as the ball and the bat both went past Strasburg. Puig scored on a double by Logan Forsythe as the ball glanced off the glove of CF Michael A. Taylor near the warning track with two outs. The Nationals could have walked Forsythe and pitched to the pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu. Sunday was the first time in his career Strasburg faced the Dodgers twice in regular-season play. He is now 2-2 against them as he gave up just one run in six innings for the win.No one has shouted yet.
