Sep 18, 2017 - 9:24 AM PH Kevan Smith grounded out to second for the second out of the ninth inning Sunday and was glad to see SS Tim Anderson spoil LHP Matthew Boyd's no-hit bid with a single. "He had our guys off balance, I thought," Smith said of Boyd. "I thought he did a great job of commanding his pitches, and you could see he had pitchers off-balance the whole game. I kept hearing a lot of things about his changeup, and he was throwing a slower breaking pitch. It was awesome to see Timmy get that hit; you could see the frustration in Boyd, because complete no-hitters don't come by too often. But I just stuck with my approach, and almost squeezed one by there. Hats off to him."
