However, he stayed in the game and ended up 0-for-3 as his average fell to .235. If OF Bryce Harper is ready for the playoffs, the Nationals would have to decide who will start in left field -- Werth or Howie Kendrick, who is hitting .321 this year with the Phillies and Nationals and can cover more ground than Werth.
