MLB Note - Los Angeles Dodgers Baez, Pedro
Sep 20, 2017 - 9:12 AM RHP Pedro Baez's September struggles continued Tuesday night as he took the loss in Philadelphia to fall to 3-6. The reliever came in with a 2-1 lead in the seventh inning but gave up four runs on only two hits, with a pair of walks and a hit batsman proving to be problematic. In seven September outings, Baez has given up 10 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings -- a 21.89 ERA after throwing to a 1.79 ERA through his first 55 appearances this season. "There is a point ... where production has got to come through, especially where we're at in the season," Roberts said. "For a player to not believe that the manager has confidence in him, it makes it that much tougher. But yeah, there is a point where obviously we've got to make some decisions here in the next week or two."No one has shouted yet.
