MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Olson, Matt
Sep 20, 2017 - 9:12 AM 1B Matt Olson homered for the fifth consecutive game on Tuesday, a solo shot to right off Detroit LHP Chad Bell. He now has the longest homer streak by an Athletics player since Frank Thomas homered in six straight games in 2006. Olson's 12 September homers are a major league rookie record. "It's cool," he said. "Obviously, it would be nice if I could mix in another hit (other than a homer) once in a while. I'm not complaining at all."No one has shouted yet.
