MLB Note - Arizona Diamondbacks Pollock, A.J.

Sep 20, 2017 - 9:11 AM CF A.J. Pollock hit two home runs Tuesday night against the Padres. Each was something of "two" milestone. Pollock opened the game with a home run on the fifth pitch he saw from Padres' LHP Travis Wood. That was his second game-opening homer of the season (first on April 21) and of his career. Then he homered in the sixth off Wood. That was Pollock's second career multiple homer game (first, April 10, 2013) and the 200th homer of the season for the Diamondbacks. Pollock doubled in the ninth and was 3-for-3 with a walk. Pollock is hitting .429 (12-for-28) over his last eight games with six doubles, three homers and 12 RBIs. Fourteen of his last 20 hits have gone for extra bases.
