MLB Note - Los Angeles Angels Skaggs, Tyler

Sep 20, 2017 - 9:12 AM LHP Tyler Skaggs gave up two runs on eight hits and one walk in 5 1/3 innings Tuesday against the Indians. Skaggs was coming off his best start of the season when he threw seven scoreless innings against the Astros. He shut out the Indians for three innings before RF Jay Bruce's two-out, RBI double in the fourth inning, followed by C Roberto Perez's solo homer in the fifth. After getting the first out in the sixth, Skaggs was removed from the game having made 85 pitches. "He made some pitches, kept us in the game and his stuff looked good," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "He gave us a chance to win, we just didn't swing the bats today."
