MLB Note - Philadelphia Phillies Nola, Aaron

Sep 20, 2017 - 9:12 AM RHP Aaron Nola threw seven strong innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night, picking up a win as the Phillies came from behind for a 6-2 victory. Nola allowed five hits and two runs, striking out eight as he threw 64 of his 94 pitches for strikes. It's the 12th "ultra-quality start" (seven innings or more, two earned runs or fewer) this season for Nola (12-10, 3.56 ERA), which is third-best amongst NL starters. He's also on pace to be the only Phillies starter aside from Curt Schilling (1997, 1998) to have more than nine strikeouts per nine innings as he's currently at 9.72.
