MLB Note - New York Mets Nimmo, Brandon

Sep 21, 2017 - 9:26 AM OF Brandon Nimmo homered Wednesday against the Marlins. It was the fourth homer of the season for a 24-year-old player who broke into the majors last year (.274, one homer and a 666 OPS in 32 games). This year, with numerous Mets injuries, Nimmo has already played 59 games and has shown an ability to draw walks and some pop, including seven doubles and an .809 OPS. The left-handed hitter could factor into the Mets' 2018 outfield picture, perhaps as a platoon player.
