MLB Note - Minnesota Twins Mauer, Joe
Sep 21, 2017 - 9:26 AM 1B Joe Mauer made his 12th start at designated hitter and had the most notable at-bat of any Twin Wednesday when he capped a 13-pitch encounter with RHP Luis Severino by getting an RBI single on a 99 mph fastball. Mauer fouled off seven pitches, including four straight offerings, before the hit. He also saw three pitches clocked at 100 mph. Mauer is hitting .395 (60-for-152) in 39 games since Aug. 10.No one has shouted yet.
