Royals C Perez leaves game vs. White Sox
Sep 23, 2017 - 2:48 AM CHICAGO - Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez left Friday night's game against the Chicago White Sox as a precaution after being hit in the mask by a foul ball.Perez was hit on a foul tip in the fourth inning, knocking his mask off. He stayed in the game during an inning in which the White Sox scored five runs before replaced behind the plate by Drew Butera.
Perez went 2-for-3 from the plate with a pair of singles before leaving the game.
