Sep 23, 2017 - 8:31 AM LHP Sean Newcomb won his second straight start Friday night; it was the first time the rookie has won back-to-back starts. He pitched 5 1/3 innings against the Phillies and allowed two runs on four hits and two walks, with five strikeouts. He has allowed three or fewer runs in 10 of his last 11 starts. Newcomb has not pitched more than 5 1/3 innings over the last six starts, but has a 3.86 ERA during that stretch.
