MLB Note - Baltimore Orioles Hays, Austin
Sep 23, 2017 - 8:30 AM RF Rookie Austin Hays keeps coming through for the Orioles even though he's been with the team for just a few weeks. In Friday's loss to Tampa Bay, he hit a long sacrifice fly in the second inning with the bases loaded and also made a good throw home in the top of the frame to keep a runner from scoring. He later added a single in the sixth inning and has hit safely in six of his last seven games, batting .385 during that time. "He's got a nice confidence about him but not without respect for what's going on," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said. "There's not a lot of deer-in-the-headlights [look] for him."No one has shouted yet.
