MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Powell, Boog
Sep 23, 2017 - 8:30 AM CF Boog Powell had an MRI on Friday morning that he said showed a bone bruise but no ligament damage in his left knee. "That's the good thing, that I won' t need rehab, I won't miss an extended amount of time," Powell said. "It's pretty much for me right now, how much [pain] I can tolerate. So I hit in the cage, felt good. Tomorrow, hopefully hit BP and go from there." Powell was hurt on Sept. 16 against Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park while trying to climb the center field wall to make a catch on a home run. "I just jumped up with my right leg and tried to climb it and stick my foot up with my left and my knee just went straight into the pole. They said the padding was pushed inside a little bit. It just rammed the pole. It hurts."No one has shouted yet.
