MLB Note - Philadelphia Phillies Alvarez, Henderson
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:45 AM RHP Henderson Alvarez pitched five shutout innings, but failed to earn his first victory in three years when the bullpen failed to hold the lead. Alvarez was seeking his first major-league win since Sept. 23, 2014, when he beat the Phillies while a member of the Miami Marlins. The veteran right-hander pitched five shutout innings in his second start since being recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.No one has shouted yet.
