MLB Note - New York Mets deGrom, Jacob
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:45 AM RHP Jacob deGrom will look to reach a pair of milestones Sunday afternoon, when he takes the mound for the Mets in the finale of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals at Citi Field. The start will be the career-high 31st for deGrom, who is 4 2/3 innings shy of reaching 200 innings for the first time. DeGrom earned his career-high 15th victory in his most recent start Sept. 16, when he allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings as the Mets beat the Atlanta Braves 7-3. He was initially scheduled to start Friday's series opener but was pushed back two days because of a stomach illness. DeGrom s 5-3 with a 2.75 ERA in 11 career starts against the Nationals.No one has shouted yet.
