MLB Note - Boston Red Sox Rodriguez, Eduardo
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:44 AM RHP Eduardo Rodriguez is pitching himself into the conversation for the postseason roster. Rodriguez did not allow a hit on Saturday until Joey Votto's single with one out in the fourth inning. He allowed only three hits through 7 2/3 innings with six strikeouts and two walks. It was his longest outing since May 21. Rodriguez has made six straight quality starts on the road and four straight starts of two earned runs or fewer. "He maintained his stuff all the way through seven innings," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. "He used three pitches at both sides of the plate -- using his secondary pitches to make the fastball even better."No one has shouted yet.
