MLB Note - New York Mets Wheeler, Zack
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:45 AM RHP Zack Wheeler (stress reaction in right arm) was transferred from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list Saturday. The transaction, which made room for RHP Noah Syndergaard on the 40-man roster, was purely a procedural move by the Mets, who announced Aug. 24 that Wheeler would miss the remainder of the season. Wheeler was placed on the disabled list July 24 (retroactive to July 23). He also missed 10 days in June with a right biceps injury. Wheeler, who missed the previous two seasons recovering from Tommy John surgery, finished 3-7 with a 5.21 ERA in 17 starts this season. No one has shouted yet.
