MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Davis, Khris
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:45 AM LF Khris Davis hit his 40th home run of the season Saturday, a solo shot leading off the second inning of a 1-0 victory against Texas at the Oakland Coliseum. Davis became the second Athletic in franchise history to hit at least 40 home runs in back to back seasons, joining Jimmie Foxx (1932-34). Davis hit a career-high 42 home runs last season, his first with the A's. Davis set a new single-season career high for RBIs on Saturday with his 103rd, breaking his mark of 102 set last year. "It's nice to be mentioned in the presence of Hall of Famers," Davis said. "I'm just enjoying it and embracing it as much as I can, just trying to help the ballclub win games."No one has shouted yet.
