MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Sims, Lucas

Sep 25, 2017 - 8:55 AM RHP Lucas Sims will make his ninth start of the season Monday during a doubleheader against the Mets. The rookie is one of many young pitchers who are auditioning for the 2018 rotation. Sims (2-5, 5.14 ERA) is under consideration as a starter or reliever, although he prefers to start. He is coming off a strong effort against the Nationals on Sept. 20 when he allowed one run in five innings with six strikeouts. Sims has never started at the Mets; he made one relief appearance vs. New York, allowing two runs in two innings.
