MLB Note - Toronto Blue Jays Bautista, Jose
Sep 25, 2017 - 8:55 AM RF Jose Bautista entered the 9-5 win over the New York Yankees in a 0-for-18 drought and singled on the first pitch to him in the first inning. He went on to go 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. The Blue Jays' home season finale could have been his last home game with Toronto as the club seems unlikely to pick up his $17-million option for 2018, making him a free agent. He was given standing ovations for every at-bat as well as when he came onto the field and then was replaced defensively with one out in the ninth. "A lot of good emotions," Bautista said. "It's good to be recognized and it's good to feel the love and I appreciate everything that happened today. It is a possibility that I may not be back. Those decisions will be made and we'll see what happens."No one has shouted yet.
