He has gone 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA in three starts since being promoted from Triple-A Nashville earlier this month. Mengden has faced the Mariners just once in his career, allowing two earned runs in five innings (3.60 ERA) in a 3-2 defeat. He took the loss in the game.
