MLB Note - San Diego Padres Hand, Brad
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:48 AM LHP Brad Hand was on the Dodgers' want list before the trading deadline, but the Padres chose to keep the closer and he's become the backbone of the San Diego bullpen. Since 2016, he's allowed just four earned runs and eight hits in 15 games and 17 innings against the Dodgers (2.12 ERA). He's held opponents to a .152 average with runners in scoring position. He became the second Padre to have 100 strikeouts in back-to-back seasons. Trevor Hoffman did it in 1996-1997.No one has shouted yet.
