MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Sims, Lucas
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM RHP Lucas Sims had an afternoon to remember Monday, when he earned the win in the opener of a doubleheader against the Mets by tossing a career-high 6 2/3 innings and delivering his first career hit to jump-start a three-run sixth inning in the Braves' 9-2 victory over the Mets. Sims carried a four-hit shutout into the seventh and ended up allowing the two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six. At the plate, Sims snapped an 0-for-12 career-opening stretch by singling to center leading off the sixth. Sims may get one more start this season. He is 3-5 with a 4.85 ERA in 13 games (nine starts).No one has shouted yet.
