Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM LHP Brett Anderson, coming off a terrible start that saw him allow eight runs on seven hits in 1 1/3 innings, pitched five innings Monday night, allowing three runs - two of them in the first inning - and six hits. He picked up only his second victory since April 24. "Good, really good," said manager John Gibbons. "He kind of got that little hot spot on his finger so we took him out. But I thought he was really good. I thought he did a good job of equalizing some guys, left, right...it's too bad he couldn't go longer. But we thought, why risk it?" Anderson is 2-0 in five road starts this season.
