MLB Note - San Diego Padres Myers, Wil
Oct 1, 2017 - 7:38 AM 1B Wil Myers became the first Padre since 2012 to hit 30 home runs in a season when he belted his 30th in Saturday's win over the San Francisco Giants. The last Padre to reach 30 was 3B Chase Headley, who hit 31 in 2012. Myers' homer was his sixth in eight games this season at AT&T Park, tying Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado for the most hit at the 18-year-old San Francisco ballpark in a season. Myers also tied the Padres record for home runs in a season hit in San Francisco, equaling the six hit by LF Greg Vaughn at Candlestick Park in 1998.No one has shouted yet.
