MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Davis, Khris
Oct 2, 2017 - 5:52 AM OF Khris Davis set a career high when he hit his 43rd homer of the season in the eighth inning Sunday. He had 42 homers for Oakland last year. Davis, who went 2-for-4, now has 18 career home runs in 129 at-bats against the Rangers. His 43-homer season was the fifth best in Oakland history. "That's really cool," Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. "You look at the history of our organization, whether it's he or whether it's Jed (Lowrie), those are things that need to be celebrated."No one has shouted yet.
