Apr 5, 2008 - 12:05 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Friday night's game between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves has been postponed due to rain.

The contest has been rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday, May 20.

John Maine was scheduled to pitch for the Mets on Friday while Tim Hudson was slated to start for the Braves.

Maine, who won a career-high 15 games for New York last season, is 1-1 with a 3.93 ERA in three starts against Atlanta.

Hudson, in his 10th Major League season, is 7-4 with a 3.62 ERA in 12 career starts vs. the Mets. He went 2-2 in four outings against New York in 2007.

The weather was uncooperative all day in Atlanta with thundershowers throughout the area as well as a tornado watch in effect.

Mike Pelfrey is the scheduled starter for the Mets here Saturday while the Braves are expected to counter with 22-year veteran Tom Glavine.
