Brewers look to push streak to five games
Apr 9, 2008 - 1:58 PM Cincinnati (4-4) at Milwaukee (6-1) 8:05 pm EDTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) - The Milwaukee Brewers look to continue their early season success when they host the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Rickie Weeks hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning, leading the Brewers to a 3-2 victory in the series opener Tuesday.
"I've had a couple at-bats against (David) Weathers, and he's always been a cutter-slider guy," Weeks said. "So I sat on the cutter-slider and try to drive it somewhere."
Dave Bush (0-1, 10.13 ERA) takes the mound for Milwaukee. Bush struggled in his season debut last week at Wrigley Field, getting tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings in a 6-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs.
The righthander has struggled against the Reds, with a record of at 1-2 and an 8.64 ERA in seven career starts.
Cincinnati counters with Jose Fogg (0-1, 13.50), who also didn't fare to well in his first start of 2008. On Friday, Fogg gave up six runs and five hits over four frames in an 8-4 loss to Philadelphia.
The righthander has registered decent numbers over 15 lifetime appearances against Milwaukee, posting a 6-4 mark with a 3.74 ERA.
