Millar, Orioles eyeing more home success

BALTIMORE (Ticker) - Kevin Millar and the Baltimore Orioles will look to continue their success at Camden Yards on Tuesday when they host the Toronto Blue Jays in the finale of a two-game series.

Millar's two-run homer in the fifth inning lifted the Orioles to a 4-3 triumph over the Blue Jays on Monday. Millar, who also had an RBI single, broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth when he blasted his second home run of the season.

The 36-year-old Millar has been a major factor in Baltimore posting a major league-best 6-1 home record this season. He is 9-for-24 (.375) with two home runs and six RBI over seven games at Camden Yards.

The Orioles will send Steve Trachsel (1-1, 3.00 ERA) to the mound Tuesday. The veteran righthander allowed three runs - two earned - and five hits with four walks and two strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to the Texas Rangers on Thursday.

Toronto will counter with Shaun Marcum (1-0, 2.57), who did not receive a decision in his last start. The 26-year-old pitched seven frames in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics, yielding a run and six hits with eight strikeouts.

Alex Rios connected on his first home run of the season on Monday, blasting a two-run shot in the ninth. He now has seven RBI on the campaign.
