Diamondbacks hope to continue home success

PHOENIX (Ticker) - The Arizona Diamondbacks will seek their fourth consecutive victory at Chase Field when they host the Houston Astros on Tuesday in the second game of a three-game set.

The Diamondbacks, who currently own the major league's best record, continued their home success with Monday's 5-3 victory over the Astros.

Mark Reynolds is batting .255 with a team-leading seven home runs and 24 RBI this season for Arizona, which is a major league-best 10-2 at home.

Hoping to continue their impressive start, the Diamondbacks will send righthander Edgar Gonzalez (1-1, 4.66 ERA) to the mound.

The 25-year-old Mexican is coming off his first win of the season, yielding three runs and seven hits over 5 1/3 innings during Thursday's 6-4 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Astros will counter with rookie Jack Cassell (1-0, 5.40), who lasted five frames in his first start of the campaign - a 5-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. The righthander gave up three runs and seven hits while striking out one.

Cassell is making just his sixth career major league start. He is 2-1 with a 4.23 ERA in his young career.
