Blue Jays searching for offense against White Sox

TORONTO (Ticker) - The Toronto Blue Jays offense hasn't matched their pitching recently.

The Blue Jays go for their third straight win on Saturday when they continue a four-game series against the Chicago White Sox.

Shaun Marcum (3-2) pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings on Friday, allowing just two hits and three walks with nine strikeouts to lead the Blue Jays to a 2-0 victory against the White Sox.

It was Toronto's second consecutive shutout as it forged a 3-0 victory against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday.

However, despite the strong pitching, the Blue Jays have scored just six runs over their last four games - posting a 2-2 record over that span - and rank 24th in the majors with 121 runs this season.

Jesse Litsch (3-1, 4.85 ERA) hopes for increased run support when he toes the rubber for the Blue Jays on Saturday. The Toronto righthander will be opposed by White Sox lefthander John Danks (2-2, 3.00), who is seeking his third win in his last four starts.
