Olson, Orioles seek 12th straight win over Royals

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Garrett Olson will try and help the Baltimore Orioles to a 12th straight victory over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday when the teams continue a four-game series.

Aubrey Huff hit a tie-breaking, three-run homer in the fifth inning to lead the Orioles to a 7-4 victory on Friday.

The Orioles entered Kansas City on a season-high, five-game losing streak, but have turned things around against their favorite opponent. Baltimore, which posted a 4-1 victory on Thursday, has not lost to Kansas City since a 7-5 setback on July 25, 2006.

Olson (1-0, 2.08 ERA) will look to help the Orioles continue that dominance. The lefthander allowed one run and four hits in 6 1/3 innings of a 2-1 loss to Oakland on Monday.

Kansas City counters with Brett Tomko, who is coming off his best start of the season. Tomko (1-3, 4.98) allowed just two hits in seven innings of a 4-0 loss to Anaheim on Monday. The righthander has not won since April 6 - his first start of the season.
