Lee, Marcum square off in back end of doubleheader

CLEVELAND (Ticker) - Cliff Lee and Shaun Marcum will square off Monday when the Cleveland Indians host the Toronto Blue Jays in the finale of a doubleheader.

Sunday's contest was postponed due to rain, leading to just the fourth natural doubleheader in Progressive Field history Monday. The second game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest.

Lee (6-0, 0.81 ERA) will start for the Indians in the nightcap, looking to improve on his incredible early numbers. The veteran lefthander leads the majors in ERA and strikeout-to-walk ratio - setting down 39 while issuing just a pair of walks in 44 2/3 innings.

He has allowed an earned run in just two of his six starts and tossed seven scoreless frames at New York to earn a win Wednesday, striking out seven and walking none.

Marcum (4-2, 2.59) has been nearly as strong of late, winning each of his last two outings while allowing two runs and six hits while striking out 18 and walking four in 15 1/3 combined innings.

The 26-year-old righthander ranks seventh in the AL in ERA and sits fifth in the league with 44 strikeouts.
