Contreras looks to keep White Sox rolling

CHICAGO (Ticker) - Jose Contreras and the Chicago White Sox hope to continue their winning ways when the open a three-game series on Tuesday against the Cleveland Indians.

Contreras (4-3, 3.35 ERA) has been outstanding his last two starts on the hill, limiting Anaheim and Seattle to just two runs over his last 14 innings combined - both wins.

The 37-year-old owns a 4-2 record with a 3.30 ERA over 11 lifetime appearances against the Indians, who have dropped their last three games.

Orlando Cabrera's three RBI led a balanced attack as the White Sox pushed their winning streak to five games with Sunday's 13-8 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Cleveland hands the ball to reigning American League Cy Young Award winner C.C. Sabathia (3-5, 5.47), who has been lights out through his last two outings. The hard-throwing lefthander struck out 11 batters en route to his first shutout win of the season over Oakland last Wednesday.

Sabathia could have revenge on his mind as he was tagged for five runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 10-8 setback to Chicago in his season debut on March 31. He is 14-3 lifetime in the series.
