Dunn, Reds aim to avoid sweep vs. Dodgers

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Adam Dunn was slowed by the Los Angeles Dodgers the last time out.

The Cincinnati Reds' slugger will look to get back on track when the clubs meet in the finale of a three-game series on Wednesday.

Dunn had tied a franchise record by hitting a home run in five straight games, but was kept in check during a 4-1 loss Tuesday. The 6-6, 275-pound Dunn will be looking to regain his stroke and help the Reds snap a eight-game losing streak here.

Overall, the Reds have lost 13 of 16 here and have not won at Chavez Ravine since July 28, 2005. Rookie Johnny Cueto (2-4, 5.75 ERA) will try and help put an end to the Reds' struggles here.

Cueto, who has just one win in his last eight starts, yielded three runs and six hits in six innings but did not receive a decision in a 4-3 win over Cleveland on Friday.

Los Angeles, which has won five of seven, will send Hiroki Kuroda (1-3, 3.67) to the hill. Kuroda, who is winless in his last eight starts, allowed four runs - three earned - and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings of a 4-2 loss to Anaheim on Friday.
