Rockies hope to cool Phillies offense

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Phillies look to continue their scoring surge when they continue their series against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.

After scoring 15 runs during Sunday's four-game series finale against the Houston Astros, Philadelphia claimed a 20-5 victory during the opener of a three-game set against the Rockies on Monday.

Four players had at least four RBI on Monday for the Phillies, including Chase Utley, who stroked his 16th home run of the season and drove in a career-high six runs.

Philadelphia broke open a tie game with a pair of six-run innings in the fourth and sixth, sending 11 batters to the plate in each frame.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-4, 4.61 ERA) tries too cool off the Phillies when he takes the mound for the Rockies on Tuesday.

In Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants, the 24-year-old righthander pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits while walking two and striking out one but did not factor in the decision.

Kyle Kendrick (3-2, 5.19) counters for Philadelphia seeking his first win in four career starts against Colorado.
