Phillies look to stay hot vs. Rockies' rookie Reynolds

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Phillies have pummeled the Colorado Rockies pitching staff over the last two games.

The Phillies look to continue that trend against rookie righthander Greg Reynolds on Wednesday when they wrap up a three-game series against the Rockies.

Philadelphia, which scored 15 runs during Sunday's victory against the Houston Astros, erupted for 20 runs during the series-opener against Colorado on Monday before scoring seven runs in the first two innings of Tuesday's 7-4 triumph.

The Phillies 42 runs over the last three games is just two short of the franchise-record set in 1900 over a three-game span.

Philadelphia should have little trouble continuing their offensive outburst against Reynolds (0-1, 4.08 ERA), who allowed four runs and four hits in six innings during his third start since being called up from the Class AAA Colorado Springs on May 11.

The 22-year-old righthander did not factor in the decision during Friday's 6-5 victory over the New York Mets.

Adam Eaton (0-3, 5.37) counters for the Phillies on Wednesday seeking his first win of the season after losing each of his previous two starts and three of his last four overall.
