Astros' Oswalt looks to maintain success vs. Pirates

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Houston Astros look to ace Roy Oswalt to help them finish up a disappointing road trip.

Oswalt and the Astros aim for their second straight victory when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Houston snapped a five-game road losing streak with a 2-0 defeat of Pittsburgh on Tuesday. It was just the Astros' third win away from home in their last 10 contests.

The visitors send Oswalt (4-5, 5.45 ERA) to the mound seeking his sixth consecutive win vs. the Pirates. A three-time All-Star, Oswalt, who has dropped his last two starts, is 11-5 all-time against Pittsburgh.

The Pirates counter with Zach Duke (2-4, 4.41 ERA), who has lost his last two outings. The 25-year-old lefthander is 0-3 in seven career appearances (six starts) vs. Houston, but is 2-1 in his last three starts at PNC Park.

Pittsburgh has played 21 straight games against National League Central opponents, going 9-11 in that span.
