Indians visit Rockies aiming to continue winning ways

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Indians look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday when they open a three-game interleague series against the Colorado Rockies.

The Indians have won six of their last 10 games and eight of the last 15 overall, claiming back-to-back series victories for the first time since mid May with a 7-3 victory over the San Diego Padres Sunday.

Reigning American League Cy Young award winner C.C. Sabathia, who was named AL Player of the Week on Monday, allowed three runs and six hits with one walk in eight innings on Sunday. The burly lefthander also struck out 10 to move into fifth place on the Indians' all-time strikeout leaderboard.

Paul Byrd (3-6, 4.89 ERA) tries to duplicate Sabathia's performance when he takes the mound for the Indians on Tuesday.

Byrd allowed six runs - five earned - and six hits in just three innings, suffering the loss during Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

Rookie Greg Reynolds (1-4, 6.69), who has three losses in his last four starts, aims to rebound when he toes the rubber for the Rockies.
