The Pittsburgh Pirates have a needle that’s pointing up. It might not be pointing way up, but it’s likely up nonetheless from the doldrums of the last few seasons. One of the biggest reasons why is 24-year-old shortstop Oneil Cruz. The young phenom hit 17 homers and racked up 54 RBI in just over a half season’s worth of games, so it’s easy to see that expectations will be high this year now that he’s the full-time starter.

So what we want to know is, how good do you think Cruz will be this season? We’re going to use the WAR metric as our measuring stick, which stands for Wins Above Replacement for any of you our there who don’t know, and last year, he finished with a WAR of 2.3. What do you think happens this year? Does he match it? Exceed it? Regress? Tell us below.

Thanks for voting, and as usual, we’ll be back in a couple days with your results.
