McDonald's grand slam lifts Reds

Mar 5, 2009 - 9:31 PM SARASOTA, Florida (Ticker) -- Darnell McDonald drilled a grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 10-6 Grapefruit League victory on Thursday.

It was the lone hit in three at-bats for the rookie center fielder who connected off Pirates reliever Ronald Uviedo.

Todd Frazier added two hits for the Reds, who finished with 11 hits.

Reds starter Nick Masset allowed one hit and two strikeouts in three innings.

Andy Phillips and Shelby Ford each had two hits for the Pirates.
