Hairston's big day leads Mexico

Mar 6, 2009 - 12:30 AM TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Scott Hairston homered and knocked in three runs as Mexico tuned up for the World Baseball Classic with a 7-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday.

Hairston delivered a two-run double in the third inning before hitting his first homer of the spring in the seventh.

Mexico starter Jorge Campillo allowed two runs and three hits in three innings.

Colorado's Jorge De La Rosa was ripped for six runs and 11 hits in 2 2/3 innings.
