Sixers open preseason with win over Wizards
Dec 17, 2011 - 2:41 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Lou Williams scored 19 points and second- year pro Evan Turner chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers routed the Washington Wizards, 103-78, in the preseason opener.Spencer Hawes netted 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and grabbed nine boards, while Elton Brand scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
Andray Blatche led the Wizards with 18 points and John Wall was limited to just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting. He also turned the ball over six times. Rookie first-round pick Jan Vesely had seven points and three rebounds.
