Sacramento downs Golden State to cap preseason
Dec 21, 2011 - 5:52 AM Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Marcus Thornton totaled 21 points and seven rebounds as Sacramento rallied past Golden State, 95-91, in the preseason finale for each team.J.J. Hickson added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Tyreke Evans chipped in with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds for the Kings, who drained 10- of-18 threes.
David Lee led all scorers with 30 points and 13 rebounds, while Monta Ellis was the other Warrior in double figures with 19 points and six assists. Stephen Curry was held to seven points on just 2-of-5 shooting in the loss.
The Sacramento Kings open the season the day after Christmas against the Los Angeles Lakers, while the Warriors face the Clippers on Christmas Day. These two teams first meet on January 31.
