Harden, Durant pace Thunder over Warriors

Feb 18, 2012 - 4:20 AM Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - James Harden scored 25 points in a reserve role and Kevin Durant filled the stat sheet with 23 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Oklahoma City's 110-87 rout of the Golden State Warriors.

Russell Westbrook netted 18 points for the Thunder, who won for the third time in four games. Westbrook sprained his right ankle late in the third quarter.

"I think everybody played solid basketball tonight," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We were moving the ball really well. We still had a few too many turnovers and too many offensive rebounds given up."

David Lee had 23 points to pace the Warriors, who lost their second straight after a three-game winning streak. Monta Ellis, who ended with 11 points, hyperextended his right knee late in the third.

After falling behind by as many as seven in the opening quarter, the Thunder took control by using a 38-24 scoring advantage in the second. Harden scored 15 in the period, making all six of his shots.

Durant's jumper started a 10-0 spurt that gave ultimately gave the Thunder the lead for good. Westbrook ended the flurry with a slam for a 46-39 difference inside three minutes left. Harden then jammed in the final minutes before Lee's layup had Golden State facing a 58-48 halftime deficit.

"Other than the second quarter, I thought we did a good job," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "Giving up 38 points in a quarter...it's a recipe for disaster. That hurt us."

The Warriors faced a double-digit deficit the entire third quarter and went to the fourth trailing 84-65, but two of the key participants left the contest. Ellis was hurt when he landed awkwardly while leaping in the air to block a shot, and Westbrook was hurt on a drive to the hoop with just over a minute left.

Oklahoma City led by as many as 28 in the fourth.

Game Notes

Dorell Wright had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, who lost all three matchups in the season series...The Thunder shot 52.7 percent compared to 34.8 for Golden State.
