Matt Barnes added 17 points, seven assists and four steals for the Clippers, who have won six of seven. Caron Butler and DeAndre Jordan tallied 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Los Angeles, which improved to 23-6 at home this season, played without the services of Jamal Crawford (personal) and Eric Bledsoe (calf).
Gerald Henderson ended with 24 points for the Bobcats, who have dropped four straight. Kemba Walker and Byron Mullens donated 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Charlotte, which started a four-game road trip on Tuesday, fell to 6-22 on the road this season.
A pair of Walker 3-pointers and Ramon Sessions' layup gave Charlotte a 30-22 lead with 28.4 seconds left in the first quarter. Griffin stopped the spurt with a slam to get Los Angeles within six after 12 minutes of action.
"We did a good job after that initial first quarter," Griffin said."When we get out and get easy buckets it gets us going."
The Clippers ended the first half on a big run to take control of the game. Trailing by three, 42-39, with 4:53 remaining in the second quarter, Los Angeles went on a 15-3 burst. Griffin tallied the final seven points of the surge to give the home team a 54-45 margin at the break.
Los Angeles put together a 13-0 run over the end of the third quarter and start of the fourth to extend its lead to 91-63.
"For 20 minutes we played fantastic basketball," Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap said. "We had the lead, but we made some turnovers that they made some dunks off of, and that brought the crowd into the game. That ignited them and it carried over into the second half."
Game Notes
The Clippers have won five straight against the Bobcats ... Griffin also had seven rebounds and six assists ... Los Angeles shot 53.9 percent from the field and went 12-of-22 from beyond the arc.
