Paul leads Clippers past Nets

Paul finished with 29 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, who won back-to- back games for the first time this month.
"I tried to be aggressive, we got into the bonus early and I was able to attack. We got some big stops when we needed and got some big shots when we needed. We had good spurts tonight, but we have to put it all together for the playoffs," Paul, who had 19 points in the fourth, said.
DeAndre Jordan added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
Deron Williams tallied 18 points and nine assists, while Brook Lopez also poured in 18 for Brooklyn, which had won seven of its last nine road tilts coming in.
"We put ourselves in a position to win and they did a better job of closing it out," Brooklyn head coach P.J. Carlesimo.
After Lopez's dunk tied the game at 90-90 with 2:32 remaining, Paul hit a jumper and Jamal Crawford got into the passing lane for a steal and easy dunk for a 94-90 Clippers edge with 48 seconds left.
Joe Johnson's running bank shot made it a one-possession game before Paul's extraordinary three-point play at the other end made it a five-point margin. He dribbled into the paint and as he was going up for a floater he lost control of the ball, which made him double-clutch his shot. As he was on his way down, he somehow got his shot up and it dropped.
Johnson missed a triple at the other end and Paul hit two more free throws to seal the outcome.
The Clippers led 25-24 after a quarter of play, but Brooklyn outscored them 25-22 in the second to take a 49-47 edge into the break.
The Nets headed into the final frame with a 75-70 spread, but an 11-5 LA swing gave the hosts an 81-80 lead.
